The Trumpet Call

1Hark! the trumpet's solemn warning
Sounds throughout the world around,
Time is short, the day is dawning,
When the Lord shall come to ground.

2Sound the alarm through every nation,
Let the watchmen cry aloud;
Proclaim to all the generation,
Jesus comes upon the cloud.

3Wake, ye sleepers, from your slumber,
Lo! the bridegroom is at hand;
Soon his voice, like mighty thunder,
Shall be heard throughout the land.
