WE'RE LOOKING FOR A CITY

When Eden is restored—
A City of foundations,
Whose builder is the Lord.

For thee we'll ever pray,
For glory bright, in realms of light,
To spend an endless day.

2The kings of earth their glory,
And honor there will bring,
Within thy massive portals,
Great City of our King.

3The splendid arches glistening,
Within the sacred dome,
With waters clear as crystal,
Proceeding from the throne.

4The tree of life, so healing,
On either side the stream,
Whose branches, gently waving,
Add grandeur to the scene.

5O, be constrained to enter,
Thro' Christ the living way;
Then you can live for ever,
In that eternal day.
