Again We Meet

1Again we meet around the board
The Lamb for sinners slain,
And grateful memory thus records
The love that breaks the chain.

2The cup that tells of precious blood,
The bread His body torn,
Call every soul to trust the good
Which makes our peace with God.

3O may this simple feast convey
To each expectant soul,
The virtue that can take away
Sin's burden from the whole!

4And while we eat this bread of life
And drink this holy wine,
May we enjoy sweet fellowship
With Jesus, Friend divine.
