Hymns for Second Advent Believers 120

SABBATH HYMNS

Studio

1This is the day of sacred rest,
Which God has sanctified and blest,
When on his throne the Almighty stood,
And viewed his works, and called them good.

2The heavenly hosts their harps employ,
The sons of God gave shouts of joy;
Thro' heaven and earth his praises rang,
The morning stars together sang.

3Come, then, ye weary souls oppress'd,
Come and enjoy this holy rest;
Let humble songs like incense rise,
And prayer and praise ascend the skies.
