Let me go where'er she be
1Let me go where'er the going, To the mansions of the blest;
Let me join the people's rest; I would gain the realms of light,
Let me go, 'tis Jesus calls me, Let me go to the rest of day; I want to be away.
2Let me go where none are weary,
Where is raised no note of woe;
Let me go and back not tarry;
Let the rough angels know;
Let me go where Jesus beckons,
Lures my soul away, away,
And the Victor's song triumphant
Thrills my heart, I cannot stay.
3Let me go, why should I tarry?
What has earth to bind me here?
Why should aught my spirit carry?
What but death and pain and fear?
Let me go, for hopes most cherished
Blasted now often lie;
Here I've gathered brightest flowers
But to see them fade and die.
