Thus far we've parted again to meet

1Thus far we've parted again to meet Before Jehovah's mercy seat; To seek his face, to hear his word, And get refreshment from the Lord.

2Now met to praise his holy name, Whose mercies flow each day the same, Whose love finds hearts with sin and guilt, We seek instruction, patience, peace.

3Let every heart rise up a prayer For every soul as here we meet; To ask the Spirit to repair Our souls and heart from sin so dark.

4And may our acts make the heart, To join with holy love and praise, And tell to all who come this way, Our souls rejoice the blessed days.

5Then hail, thou sacred, blessed day, The best of all the seven; When hearts unite their vows to pay Of gratitude to Heaven.
