Light of the world, the light

1Light of the world, the light, Those friendly brethren prove, Whose cheerful hearts unite wide Of harmony and love!

2When streams of love like Christ, descending, Descend on every soul, And heavenly peace with holy joy Shades and revives the whole.

3'Tis pleasant as the morning dew, That fall on Zion's hill, Where God the midst glory shows, And makes his grace distill.
