Harvey's Chant
1WITH our ears we this night appear,
And bow before the Lord ;
His high commands with reverence hear,
And tremble at his word.
2How terrible thy glories are !
How bright thy beauties shine !
We are too foul for thee so fair,
Or truth compared with thine !
3Still, all ye ransomed of the Lord,
Your great Deliverer sing ;
Yea, let his praise fill every word,
Be joyful in your King.
4O Jesus, Lord of earth and heaven,
Our life and joy, to thee
Do we lift up our souls, by grace given
Through all eternity.
