The Sun Is on the Land

1The sun is on the land and sea,
The day is everywhere;
O Father, let the day we see
Be radiant with Thy care.

2O make us glad with morning light,
O make us pure and true;
As we have safely passed the night,
Help us to pass day through.

3Through all the hours of this bright day,
In all we do or say,
That we may not from Thee astray,
O keep us in Thy way.

4And when the day is done, and night
Comes on with sweet release,
Grant us the blessing of Thy sight
And rest in perfect peace.
