Eternal Father, God of Love

1Eternal Father, God of love,
Whose power extends to all above,
Whose love beyond all knowledge is,
Whose truth shall make the bondsman free.

2We come before Thy throne of grace,
In Jesus' name we seek Thy face;
We plead the promise of Thy word,
That every prayer in faith is heard.

3For all the blessings of the light,
For rest and shelter of the night,
For health and food, for love and friends,
For everything Thy goodness sends.

4Forgive the sins we have confessed,
On Jesus cast our every care;
We ask not gold or worldly rest,
But let Thy love our spirits cheer.
