#564THOUGH NATURE WEEPS

Words: Guthrie
1
Though nature weeps o'er her children sleeping, The church triumphant for joy, For death is but the golden gate Which leads to endless joy.
2
The living know that weary sorrow, Of mortal flesh at dissolution; Yet in our hearty tears of, We find the sweet consolation.
3
Then let me learn, the word of breath; God's purpose cannot fail; We'll all be bound again, No storm can death assail.
4
For death from life, the soul of breath, God's purpose cannot fail; Our loved ones have peace and rest, Beyond the gloomy veil.
