1
Go thou and do the work awaiting thee to-day,
And think not of the morrow's care and sorrow;
Go thou and do the best that thou canst do to-day,
And leave the rest to God.
2
Do thou thy part, and He will do His part for thee,
And daily unto thee fresh strength be given;
Thy loving work will be rewarded faithfully,
And leave the rest to God.
3
Thy service shall be of the clearest, purest kind,
Of this be constantly and thankfully mindful;
Thy spirit shall be kept in perfect peace and joy,
And leave the rest to God.
4
The way, the truth, the life, will all be made so clear,
And there shall be no doubting, no perplexing;
Thy mind shall be enlightened, and thy heart made pure,
And leave the rest to God.
C
Chorus
Leave the rest to God, leave the rest to God,
And He will work out all thy heart's desire;
Leave the rest to God, leave the rest to God,
And He will bring the answer by and by.
